service team jobs
Food Service Staff
Duties of Food Service Staff include preparing and serving food according to Health Department standards, operating a Point of Sale register, collecting payment, making change, keeping areas clean and sanitized, washing dishes, and providing outstanding customer service to our guests. Food Service staff positions rotate daily and may include register position, prepping position, food runner positions, cart location position, stocking and inventory, cooking and grilling positions. All Food Service staff must have a Food Handler's Certification Card for the County of San Diego (training option provided on site). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility.
Cabana Crew
Duties of Cabana Crew staff include responsibility for total park cleanliness. Cabana Crew staff positions and duties rotate and may include sweeping, busing tables, dumping trash cans, cleaning restrooms, filling tubes, organizing lifejackets, and assisting with crowd control and gate positions. Cabana Crew staff must work well independently and be a self-motivated worker. Cabana Crew employees are responsible for providing park information to our guests as they work and must provide outstanding guest service.
Gate Attendants
Duties of Gate Attendants include welcoming our guests and collecting tickets or scanning season pass cards at the park entrance. This position is responsible for enforcing park rules, knowing park information, and providing outstanding guest service. Gate attendants will rotate to Ticket and Merchandise Cashier positions (see below for additional information). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility.
Ticket & Merchandise Cashiers
Duties of Cashier staff include selling tickets and merchandise, operating a Point of Sale register, collecting payment, making change, stocking, completing inventory, and providing outstanding customer service to our guests. Ticket & Merchandise Cashiers will also rotate to the Gate Attendant position (see information above for additional information). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility.
Birthday Party Attendants
Duties include ensuring a fun and memorable birthday party experience for our guests. The attendants are responsible for taking and delivering birthday orders, refilling drinks, delivering cakes and ensuring the satisfaction of our guests. Birthday Party attendants are selected out of the Food Service team (apply at training). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility. AQUATICS TEAM JOBS
Lifeguards
Duties of Lifeguards include ensuring guest safety, enforcing rules, providing guest service, responding to aquatic and on land emergencies, and providing medical care as trained. Lifeguards rotate to a variety of positions throughout their shifts including dispatching positions, seated positions, roving positions, and in water positions. All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility. Lifeguards must complete the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training (offered on site).
EMT's
Duties of EMT staff include ensuring guest safety and providing medical and first aid treatment to patients. The EMT position is an active and mobile position that will assist and support the Lifeguard staff. EMT's are responsible for paperwork and documentation and must attend the Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training class (offered on site). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility. Wave EMT's must have a EMT-Basic Certification.
Swim Instructors
Duties of Swim Instructors include providing quality swim lesson instruction to participants of all ages. Swim Lesson Instructor training is provided on site. All Swim Lesson Instructors are selected out of the Lifeguard crew (apply at the end of your Lifeguard Training class). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility. Camp Counselors
Duties of Camp Counselors include providing a fun and enriching camp experience for our campers. Camp programs include Aqua Camps, Water Sports Camp and Jr. Lifeguards. Camp Counselors will be responsible for interactions with parents / guardians of campers. All Camp Counselors are selected out of the Lifeguard crew (apply at the end of your Lifeguard Training class). All Wave Staff perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and clean facility.
